Frequently asked questions
What Russian-speaking clients ask most often.
Can a foreign resident take out insurance in Korea?
It depends on your visa type, length of stay and residency requirements. Some cases are eligible, others are restricted. Tell me your residence status and I will check.
I have national health insurance — do I still need private cover?
National health insurance covers part of the cost, leaving your own share plus items outside the benefit list. Private cover is designed for that remaining part. It is not necessary for everyone; we decide by looking at your situation.
My Korean is limited. Can I still get a consultation?
Yes, if you speak Russian — I consult in Korean and Russian. I do not speak English, but you are welcome to write to me in English on the board or in the request form, and I will reply in writing. Contract documents are in Korean, so I go through their content with you before you sign anything.
Do I have to sign up after a consultation?
No. You are free to listen and decide nothing. What matters more is never signing something you have not understood.
What personal information will you ask for?
At the consultation stage, your name, a contact detail and an approximate age are enough. Resident or alien registration numbers are not collected through this request form.
What happens to my policy if I return to my home country?
Whether it can be kept, must be cancelled, and how cover changes depends on the contract type. If you plan to leave Korea, please tell me in advance — it is an important thing to settle before signing.
